Well, Finally there was: internet!
But, first things first! I'm here in Limerick and it's lovely! (or: grand :P)The flight went really well and Cork is not such a big airport so we found our way out of there quite quickly. Got on the right bus as well and now we're here. It was a good thing I printed out a little map of Limerick city because I'm not sure if we would ever have found our way if we didn't have that with us.
Thank god Marcus expected us and a room was ready for us. We received our key but it was lunch time for them and he suggested to leave our bags at the reception and go for lunch as well (I am starting to hate the word lunch but that's a completely different story). Roy and I went out exploring the city. (Much more of that later!) When we got back the maintenance guy would move our bags and show us the way around the appartment. When he arrived with his van, talking on the phone, Roy and I immediately thought he had to be Dutch because of his strong accent. We decided to be blunt and just ask him and indeed, he was Dutch. What a coincidence! He explained everything to us (in Dutch) and more... Ron (or Ton, I can't remember)warned us for a lot of things. Limerick is not such a safe place to be in. Last weekend two people were apparantly shot in a park behind City Campus. He warned us about the parks and told us not to go there. He especially warned me not to go there alone because there have been girls walking alone in that park being robbed and raped...
I'm not sure if I have to take everything he says seriously but.. we'll see. I've been in this room for a couple of days now (still no roommate but I'm not alone in the building anymore). I bought a lot of stuff to clean the house because it really isn't the cleanest place to arrive in. (Yes mum, I bet you didn't expect that :P but when there's nobody around to clean things up for you, you have to do it yourself :P). So now I'm just really looking forward to meeting new roommates and I hope they'll be here soon. Across the hall lives a girl from Melbourne and in another building close by is Amanda from New York. (so yes, I have met a couple of people) and later today I'm going shopping with Roy and his roommate. So that's about it for now. Really there is so much more to tell but it's not all that important. The most important thing right now is that the internet finally works (I can't even imagine what it would be like for students 50 years ago when there was no such thing as internet... But then again, maybe students fifty years ago didn't go and study abroad for five months :P)
Well, I'm off now and I'll be posting clips very soon!

zozo doe maar zoo he.. in het engels:P hopen dat iedereen zo goed is hier net als jou .. fijn dat je het na je zin hebt.. helaas heb ik geen afscheid genomen:( had je wel een fijn feestje gehad?? roy had zich iig prima vermaakt die was de volgende dag goed ziek hahahah. jammet dat je nog geen 'roommates' hebt maar goed gelukkig ben je daar dan niet alleen. Wel eng hoor, als jedan zo alleen daar bent en hoort dat er enge dingen gebeurd zijn.. GOED OPLETTEN HE!! ik ben nu al benieuwd naar de volgende..

Het komt dus toch allemaal goed, met dat poetsen en zo;). fijn dat internet werkt vanavond skypen zodat je, je kamer kunt laten zien. En wij jou. Tot straks.
